Catechism Quote

God is the author of Sacred Scripture. "The divinely revealed realities, which are contained and presented in the text of Sacred Scripture, have been written down under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit."

"For Holy Mother Church, relying on the faith of the apostolic age, accepts as sacred and canonical the books of the Old and the New Testaments, whole and entire, with all their parts, on the grounds that, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they have God as their author, and have been handed on as such to the Church herself."- CCC 105

Are you feeling burned out, stressed out and worn out?  Have you taken your spiritual temperature lately?  You just might be suffering from spiritual paralysis.

How does God fit in your life?  How do you fit into the lives of those you touch?  Have you been doing everything the “world” has told you to do to be successful and still you come up sort of empty?  Especially when you know all along there has to be so much more to your life.  You and I together, and with your peers, can explore the proven way to wholeness.  We have created an environment away from the “world” in which this transformation can take place.   I am inviting you to give yourself the gift of retreat. Yes, a retreat!

We have designed a special program this past year so that I may invite you here for our young adults retreat July 10 -12th.  It is only for young adults like yourself and promises to be an experience you will not forget.

I am excited about the prospect of having you attend and meet other young men and women like you.  To be honest with you I really feel that we are losing your strength, the strength of all young adults, and the Church is weaker because of that.  If we can come together that weekend we can draw strength from each other and be a more viable Church. All I am asking is for you to take a risk and attend the retreat.  I won’t ask you to do anything that you will regret or that you think might embarrass you.  You will not have to speak publicly or be singled out.  This is between you and God.  There is ample opportunity on the weekend for personal quiet time as well as social time.

Our theme for the retreat is “Christ Our Hope”.  Registrations begin at 5pm Friday and we have a pick up supper from 6-7:30pm.  We begin at 8:00 with introductions. The program ends at noon on Sunday. The requested stipend for the entire program is $195 which includes your $30 deposit.  This includes a private room and meals.  You must call to reserve your room or you can get a registration form here.  Your registration must be received no later than July 6th.

Opportunities like this are not always available and I truly pray that you will favor yourself with this gift.  Please call to register or with any questions you might have.

March is dedicated to

St. Joseph

St Joseph
Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit; 21 she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."
Matthew 1:20b-21 RSV

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him close in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls - Pray for me.
