Catechism Quote

"In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son." Christ, the Son of God made man, is the Father's one, perfect and unsurpassable Word. In him he has said everything; there will be no other word than this one. St. John of the Cross, among others, commented strikingly on Hebrews 1:1-2:
In giving us his Son, his only Word (for he possesses no other), he spoke everything to us at once in this sole Word - and he has no more to say. . . because what he spoke before to the prophets in parts, he has now spoken all at once by giving us the All Who is His Son. Any person questioning God or desiring some vision or revelation would be guilty not only of foolish behavior but also of offending him, by not fixing his eyes entirely upon Christ and by living with the desire for some other novelty.

Are you being called to a deeper spiritual growth? Perhaps the community of Third Order Carmelites is your answer. You must be eighteen or older, a practicing Catholic for more than a year, and a full-time resident (unless you are already professed). We gather in the hall of St. Patrick's Church, Palm Beach Garden, FL, the second Saturday of each month for our community meeting. For more information please call Mary Joyce at (561) 691-4186 or Cuqui at (561) 357-5676. If no one answers, please leave message. God Bless You.

In much the same way dating websites bring potentially compatible couples together, VocationMatch.com allows an inquirer to create a profile, which is matched against the profiles of hundreds of participating religious communities. Inquirers can click to have their profiles sent to any of their matches. Or they can use the descriptive listings, videos, and links featured in their results to learn more about matching communities and possibly begin a conversation with them. VocationMatch.com, sponsored by VISION Vocation Guide, a publication of the National Religious Vocation Conference in Chicago, is a free service for those with an interest in vowed religious life.
