DO’S
• Teach children swimming and water safety skills as early as possible.
• Assign a “designated watcher” to monitor children during a social gathering.
• Pool area should be fenced, install alarms on doors and windows leading to pool area.
• Maintain eye contact with children at all times.
• Install a phone line by the pool area for emergencies.

DON’TS
• Never leave children alone in water (pool, bathtub, etc.)
• Never leave toys in water, which might attract children.
• Flotation devices are not substitutes for supervision.
• Never prop the gate to pool are open.
• Never assume someone else is watching a child in the pool.
