Catholic TV “America’s Catholic Television
Network” operated out of Boston, MA
and under the auspices of Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley, has offered us an
opportunity to put an embedded version of Catholic TV right on our website for
easy viewing online, anytime – it’s called Catholic TV jr.
The Diocese of Palm Beach has
partnered with CTV to further our shared efforts for evangelization by means of
multi-media. With one click you have instant access to the best of Catholic TV right on the Holy Name of Jesus homepage from anywhere!
It is important to note that
programming is not just Boston Catholic Church news – programming consists of
national Catholic Church news, stories and events as well as the latest
information from the Vatican including the “Wednesday Audiences” with our Holy
Father… in fact CTV recently aired Bishop Barbarito’s video messages on the
25th Anniversary of our
Diocese as well as a teaching on the Year for Priests. CTV has experienced rapid development from local Catholic
news the Archdiocese of Boston to what it’s become - a growing global
communications entity serving ALL the Catholic faithful around the US and abroad
and giving our United States Conference of Catholic Bishops a greater
voice!

A very big thank you to our generous donor who donated the $16,740.00 for our new Carillion Bell system that rings in the bell tower. The company has stopped making and servicing the old analog system and has switched to a new digital system. This new system is also more user friendly and operates via a remote. The donor wishes to remain anonymous, and has donated the system in honor of his deceased father who always loved hearing the church bells. Again, a big thank you from our parish.

Are you traveling this summer? Taking weekends for fun or travel sports teams? Please make time to go to Mass during your travels. Too many times the idea of vacation and missing Mass go hand in hand. It’s up to us parents to instill into our children the importance of the Sacraments. While vacations are a gift from God, there is no greater gift than His Son in the Eucharist. We believe that the Eucharist is the real presence of our Lord. Give your children the opportunity to receive Him every Sunday.

February is dedicated to The Holy Family
Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and departed to Egypt, and remained there until the death of Herod.
This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the
prophet, “Out of Egypt have I called my son.”
Matthew 2:13-15 RSV-SCE O most loving Jesus, Who by Thy surpassing virtues and the example
of Thy home life didst hallow the household in which Thou didst choose
to live while on earth, mercifully look down upon this family, whose
members, humbly prostrate before Thee, implore Thy protection. Remember
that we are Thine, bound and consecrated to Thee by a special devotion.
Protect us in Thy mercy, deliver us from danger, help us in our
necessities, and impart to us strength to persevere always in the
imitation of Thy Holy Family, so that, by serving Thee and loving Thee
faithfully during this mortal life, we may at length give Thee eternal
praise in heaven.
O Mary, dearest Mother, we implore thy assistance, knowing that thy divine Son will hearken to thy petition.
And do thou, most glorious patriarch, St. Joseph, help us with thy
powerful patronage, and place our petitions in Mary's hands, that she
may offer them to Jesus Christ. Amen. |
